Monsoon Spell to Continue Across Punjab Till July 25

Widespread monsoon rains are expected to continue in most parts of Punjab as the fourth spell of showers will last until July 25, according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).

A PDMA spokesperson said this round of rain could be stronger than the earlier ones this season. Heavy downpours are expected in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Chakwal, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad, Gujrat, Jhelum, and Gujranwala.

People living in these areas should stay careful and keep an eye on weather updates, as the heavy rain could cause urban flooding in cities and landslides in the hilly regions. The PDMA has advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel during heavy rainfall and to stay away from streams, rivers, and weak structures that could collapse.

Emergency response teams have been put on high alert to handle any situation quickly. Rescue workers, police, and health teams are ready to help people if flooding or other rain-related problems happen. People are also urged to cooperate with local authorities and follow safety instructions to protect themselves and their families.

The PDMA has also told district administrations to keep drainage systems clear so rainwater does not collect and cause more trouble. Farmers have been advised to plan their activities according to the weather to protect their crops and livestock from damage.

The PDMA has asked people to report any emergencies immediately so help can reach them without delay. By staying alert and prepared, communities can reduce the risks caused by the heavy monsoon rains and keep everyone safe.
