According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Pakistan, two monkeypox patients have been confirmed in the country.
According to the NIH, the patients travelled to Saudi Arabia and were kept at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences where their reports came positive.
In view of the fear of the spread of Monkeypox virus in the country, it has been decided to screen suspected patients coming from abroad, guidelines have been issued to airports in this regard.
According to the guidelines, the infected patient will be staffed by the immigration airline.
The directive states that the suspected patient on the plane should be identified. The suspected patient should be evacuated by ambulance instead of a routine departure.
Pakistan’s National Institute of Health has decided to get the Monkeypox vaccine from the World Health Organization (WHO).
