Morocco Offers Fully Funded Scholarships to Pakistani Students

Morocco has extended an exciting academic opportunity to Pakistani and AJK students by offering 10 fully funded scholarships for the 2025-26 academic session.

These scholarships are available for students interested in studying at public universities and institutions in Morocco, covering various fields including medicine, engineering, management sciences, veterinary sciences, architecture, and more.

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan shared the announcement, inviting eligible students to apply for undergraduate, master’s, or PhD programs. The deadline to register online through the HEC portal is Thursday, June 12, 2025, by 4:00 PM (PST).

To be eligible, applicants must hold Pakistani or AJK nationality and should not have dual citizenship. Those applying for undergraduate programs must have completed at least 12 years of schooling (FSc or A-Levels) and be under the age of 23. For master’s degrees, 16 years of education is required, while PhD applicants must have at least 18 years of education in a relevant field.

An important part of the application process is submitting a valid HAT or USAT test score. Selections will be made based on these scores. Shortlisted candidates will later be required to provide academic transcripts, letters of recommendation, motivation letters, medical and police clearance certificates, and a No Objection Certificate if employed.

Since French is the main language of instruction in most Moroccan institutions especially for science and business programs selected students will be required to complete a French language course in Pakistan before starting their studies. However, for subjects like Arabic Language, Literature, or Islamic Studies, students should already be proficient in Arabic.

Those applying for professional degrees like medicine, law, or engineering must make sure their chosen program is recognized by Pakistan’s regulatory bodies, such as PMDC, PBC, or PEC. The HEC has advised all applicants to carefully review related guidelines, especially for foreign medical education.

Students interested in applying can visit scholarship.hec.gov.pk and submit their applications under the “Moroccan Government Scholarship Program.” There’s no need to send physical documents at the initial stage.

This scholarship program reflects growing educational cooperation between Pakistan and Morocco and offers a great chance for deserving students to study abroad with full financial support.
