Mufti Taqi Usmani Ranked Second in Most Influential Muslim Personalities in the World

Renowned Islamic scholar Mufti Taqi Usmani has been ranked as the second most influential Muslim personality in the world, according to the latest edition of The Muslim 500, an annual publication released by Jordan’s Royal Institute of Strategic Studies.

The report honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the Muslim world through leadership, scholarship, and service. This recognition highlights Mufti Taqi Usmani’s global influence as a leading Islamic jurist, author, and scholar whose works continue to guide millions.

At the top of the list is Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, recognized for his leadership and role in international diplomacy. Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Imran Khan has also been named the “Personality of the Year”, acknowledging his continued impact and popularity across the Muslim world.

Other prominent figures featured among the top 50 include Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman — each recognized for their political and regional influence.

The list also celebrates religious scholars and preachers for their efforts in promoting Islamic values and education. Pakistani scholars such as Maulana Tariq Jamil, Maulana Nazar-ur-Rahman, and Maulana Ilyas Qadri were also included for their spiritual and social influence.

The ranking serves as a reflection of the growing role of Muslim scholars and leaders in shaping contemporary thought, governance, and global dialogue reaffirming the importance of faith, scholarship, and leadership in the modern era.
