The Municipal Corporation (MC) of Sargodha has announced job openings for legal advisors under the Local Government Legal Advisor Rules, 2003. This initiative aims to enhance legal representation and streamline operations in various courts and governmental departments.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Educational Qualifications: Minimum BA and LLB degrees.
- Experience: At least 5 years of professional legal practice.
- Skills: Proven expertise in legal matters related to civil, labor, tax, and high courts.
Job Description
The positions are divided into two categories:
- Civil and District Court Legal Advisors:
- Represent the Municipal Corporation in Civil, District, and Labor Courts.
- Handle cases with PRA (Punjab Revenue Authority) and FBR (Federal Board of Revenue).
- High Court Legal Advisors:
- Work with the Lahore High Court, Punjab Labor Tribunal, and related departments.
- Provide legal advice for cases involving PRA and FBR at the provincial level.
Contract Period and Benefits
- The tenure for these roles is two years, subject to approval by the Secretary of Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Punjab.
- Monthly compensation is set at PKR 25,000, with income tax deductions as per government rules.
