According to the UK-based humanitarian charity organisation Penny Appeal, a Muslim mother of six named Rabina Mahmood completed the London Marathon on Sunday in solidarity of the quake victims in Turkey and Syria earlier this year.
According to a statement from Penny Appeal, Mahmood has been training for the past six months, including throughout Ramadan, while juggling her responsibilities to her family, her career, and fasting. She serves as a shining example for everyone, proving that anything is possible with enthusiasm and tenacity.
According to Penny Appeal, Rabina “is a supermum who believes in giving back to society.” Her goal is to raise money and awareness to help those in need and give them the support they require in the wake of the tragedy. She is raising money for the Turkiye/Syrian earthquake appeal victims.
On February 6, one of the largest earthquakes in the region ever recorded jolted northern and western Syria, southern and central Turkey, and both countries’ combined populations of nearly 15 million people.
