The Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has once again emphasized the deep and lasting bond between the people of Pakistan and the country’s armed forces. Speaking to university students in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he said that this connection has always been strong and unshakable—and it will continue to remain so in the future.
During his address, he also spoke about the recent rise in tensions between India and Pakistan following the incident in Pahalgam. He stated that India believed Pakistan would not respond to the situation. However, the nation proved otherwise. He praised the people for standing united with their country during this challenging time, showing support and confidence in the armed forces.
“India thought we wouldn’t respond, but you all stood by your country. Pakistan stood united, and by Allah’s grace, an iron wall was raised,” he said. His comments were a clear reminder of how Pakistanis come together in moments of difficulty, showing strength and unity in the face of external threats.
General Ahmed Sharif’s message served to reassure the public that the military stands ready to defend the nation, and that the support of the people is a powerful force. The unity between citizens and soldiers, he noted, is a key reason why Pakistan remains strong and resilient, even during times of crisis.
