The Central Electricity Purchasing Agency has urged the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) to authorise a basic power pricing hike of Rs4.75 per unit, putting additional strain on consumers in the face of rising inflation.
According to local media reports, the market operator has applied to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority for a stunning Rs4.75 per unit increase in the power cost (NEPRA).
In October, a new application was submitted to NEPRA for a power tariff modification based on the fuel price.
