New Double-Cabin Vehicles Approved for Police Officers and Bureaucrat

The Interior Ministry has approved the provision of 20 new double-cabin vehicles to improve the mobility and performance of Islamabad’s police and city administration. This step is intended to make law enforcement and administrative services more effective and responsive for the people of the capital.

According to the plan, half of the vehicles will be handed over to the police, while the other half will be given to the city administration. Among the administration, all eight assistant commissioners and the Deputy Commissioner General will receive vehicles, allowing them to carry out field duties more efficiently and respond to public needs more quickly.

On the police side, several key departments will benefit, including SSP Operations, SSP Investigation, SSP Security, the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO), and the SP Dolphin squad. The new vehicles will give these units better capacity for patrolling, investigations, traffic management, and emergency response.

Authorities believe that this decision will help strengthen field operations, support administrative work, and ensure faster response times in Islamabad. The delivery of the vehicles is expected to begin next month, marking an important step toward modernizing the city’s law enforcement and administrative resources.
