Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-197, carrying 39 passengers, departed from the newly constructed airport in Gwadar for Muscat, Oman on Friday. This marks the official commencement of international operations at NGIA, which will now operate a weekly flight connecting Gwadar to Muscat to meet growing passenger demand and bolster regional connectivity.
Just a week earlier, NGIA officially began its operations, welcoming its first commercial flight and signaling a new era in Pakistan’s aviation history.
Spanning 4,300 acres, NGIA is the largest airport in Pakistan and symbolizes a major leap forward in regional development, connecting Gwadar with global destinations and vice versa.
