As per the official statement released by Beat Commander Motorway Police Iftikhar Ali Wince, National Highways & Motorway Police (NHMP) started issuing international driving permits that are acceptable in 57 different countries.
While addressing an event on Friday, in Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI), Iftikhar Ali said that the society must play its positive role to make road travel safe & secure. In this regard, NHMP has been frequently arranging road safety conferences to expose the various segments of society.
Iftikhar Ali Wince further said that NHMP has persuaded the education dept to incorporate road safety as an essential part of our core curriculum. “It will help youth to understand and practice road safety rules in their practical life by emulating the road safety culture of the west.” Said Beat Commander Motorway Police.
About his visit to FCCI, he stated that he wants to arrange an awareness conference at a big scale for which FCCI must play its vital and constructive role. He added that the executives of NHMP will give a detailed information session through multimedia while printed material about road safety would also be distributed across its participants.
Furthermore, answering to a question about a toll plaza formed right in the middle of the road near Pindi-Bhattian, Beat Commander Motorway Police said that three/three lanes has been added to make it easier for the travelers.
