No visa charges for visitors from Malaysia

On Tuesday, the National Assembly was told that Pakistan did not charge visa fees for visitors coming from Malaysia, although Kuala Lumpur levied a fee of Rs12,500 on Pakistani applicants.

Parliamentary Interior Secretary Shaukat Ali, reacting to the call-attention notice at the NA session, noted that they were fined Rs4,500 if anyone overstayed in Malaysia.

Furthermore, the secretary observed that the Pakistan visa had been made available online.

He said the visa extension fee had also been made online and anyone willing to overstay in Pakistan would need to pay service charges amounting to $20 and pay the fee.

Parliamentarian Sher Akbar Khan acknowledged that Malaysia was charging Rs4,500 from the people that wanted an extension in their visa.
