On Tuesday, The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) said that it has a historic exploration concession agreement according to which they are awarded exploration rights for Abu Dhabi’s Offshore Block to a consortium of four Pakistani companies.
Hammad Azhar, who is the Energy Minister has confirmed that the agreement was signed, he tweeted “a chain four companies of Pakistan under ministry of energy are awarded exploration rights to a prolific offshore block in Abu Dhabi.”
The four companies are, Mari Petroleum Company Limited (MPCL), Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), Government Holdings Private Limited (GHPL) and Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) are the chain of four companies awarded the rights which will be led by PPL.
Hammad Azhar said “I wish the companies best of luck, the site is considered abundant in gas and oil”.
