Olympic Gold Medalist Arshad Nadeem to compete at Tokyo World Athletics Javelin Qualifiers Today

Pakistan’s pride and Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem will be in action today at the Tokyo World Athletics Championship 2025. He is competing in the javelin throw qualifiers, where the world’s top athletes are aiming for a place in the final.

Arshad has been placed in Group B and will start his first throw at 4:45 PM (Pakistan Standard Time). His group includes some of the strongest names in javelin, such as Anderson Peters from Grenada, Julius Yego from Kenya, and two Indian javelin throwers.

The qualification rule is clear: any athlete who throws at least 84.50 meters will directly secure a spot in the final. If fewer than 12 athletes manage that distance, then the top 12 performers from both groups will qualify. This makes every single throw very important for the athletes.

Arshad Nadeem has already made history for Pakistan, showing his talent and strength in previous competitions. He has carried the nation’s hopes many times before, and once again, all eyes will be on him. Today’s event will test his focus, skill, and determination as he faces tough global competition.

Before stepping into the qualifiers, Arshad shared a message for his fans. He requested the people of Pakistan to pray for his performance and qualification so that he can proudly move forward to the final.

The javelin throw final is scheduled for September 18, 2025. Fans across the country are hoping Arshad Nadeem will be among the top athletes competing for glory on that day.
