Oreo Builds Asteroid Proof Bunker in Norway to Store Their Recipes and Cookies in Case on Any Apocalypse

In 2020, Oreo, the famous cookie brand, came up with a fun way to keep their cookies safe for the future. They built a special vault in Norway, close to another vault for seeds, to protect the Oreo recipe and keep a big supply of cookies safe in case something bad happens to the world.

Oreo called this vault “really real,” even though it’s smaller than the seed vault. The vault’s location is identified by its coordinates, 78° 08′ 58.1″ N, 16° 01′ 59.7″ E. But, they didn’t say if there would be milk with the cookies in case of a real emergency.

To promote the vault, Oreo made videos on YouTube featuring their executives. They took extra care to make sure the cookies were safe inside the vault. Each pack of Oreo cookies was wrapped in a special material called mylar. Mylar can handle very cold and hot temperatures and protects against chemicals, moisture, and air, which helps keep the cookies fresh for a long time.

In the videos, Oreo made jokes about the possibility of an asteroid hitting the Earth, which was inspired by NASA’s announcement in August 2020. NASA said there was a very low chance of a small asteroid named 2018VP1 coming close to Earth in November. Even though the chances were really small, Oreo humorously showed how they were ready for anything unexpected.
