Over 2 Million Pakistanis’ Data Hacked from Restaurants Database Up for Sale

The personal information of 2.2 million Pakistani citizens has been compromised and is being sold online by hackers. These hackers claim to have accessed databases from more than 250 restaurants, revealing people’s contact numbers and credit card information.

The affected software is commonly used by many restaurants in Pakistan. The stolen data includes details of transactions, like how many times someone paid and the amounts involved.

The hackers are asking for 2 Bitcoins, approximately $54,000, in exchange for this data. So far, Pakistani authorities have not received any reports of this breach.
