During the celebration of Eidul Azha, the northern regions of Pakistan, including Murree, attracted a large number of tourists. From June 29 to July 1, more than 318,000 tourists visited these areas, bringing happiness and excitement to the region.
According to Syed Khurram Hasan, the Assistant Director of Punjab Department of Tourist Services, Murree welcomed 156 foreign tourists who came for enjoyment, while Patriata received 37,369 visitors who came to celebrate Eid. Galiat saw the highest number of tourists during the holiday period, and the Punjab tourism team ensured that they were provided with excellent facilities and services to meet their needs.
Khurram highlighted that tourist facilitation centers remained open 24/7, providing helpful information and assistance to visitors. Special attention was given to elderly and women tourists, prioritizing their comfort and convenience. In case of emergencies or issues, tourists visiting Murree could contact the Punjab Tourism Squad helpline at 1421 for immediate help.
The increase in the number of tourists during Eidul Azha shows the popularity of the northern regions among both local and international travelers. It highlights the beauty of Pakistan’s landscapes and the warm hospitality that attracts people to visit.
