Over 9 Million Overseas Pakistanis Contributions Vital to National Stability: PM Shehbaz Sharif

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has acknowledged the major role played by more than 9 million overseas Pakistanis in supporting the country’s economy. He said that their remittances reaching a record $34.9 billion this fiscal year show their deep trust and love for Pakistan.

While speaking on the International Day of Family Remittances, the Prime Minister appreciated the strong connection the Pakistani diaspora maintains with their homeland.

He called their financial contributions a backbone of the country’s strength during tough times. These funds not only help families back home but also play a big role in keeping Pakistan’s economy stable.

PM Shehbaz Sharif also emphasized the importance of working together with overseas Pakistanis and all other stakeholders to help the country grow. He said the government is fully committed to ensuring that the efforts of Pakistanis living abroad are recognized and respected. Their involvement, he noted, is key in achieving long-term development and economic revival.

He further added that the government will continue to create better systems for safe and easy money transfers, encouraging even more support from Pakistanis living in other countries.

The Prime Minister’s message was a clear appreciation of the loyalty and dedication shown by the Pakistani community around the world. He believes their efforts are helping to shape a brighter future for the country and wants to keep strengthening this bond.
