The data from Karachi police indicates a notable increase of about 11.11 percent in street crimes during 2023, with over 90,000 reported incidents, up from the more than 80,000 cases in the previous year.
Within these incidents, 134 individuals faced fatal outcomes, many suffered injuries in robberies, and 411 civilians lost their lives in various situations.
Additionally, the statistics include over 59,305 stolen or sna*tched motorcycles, 2,336 car thefts, and more than 28,000 instances of mobile phone loss.
Notably, the report outlines two bank robberies, 17 kid*nappings for ransom, and 50 cases of extortion in Karachi during 2023.
