An overseas Pakistani, Tahir Amin, gained widespread attention after he courageously picked up a fallen UAE flag from Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road in Dubai, one of the busiest and fastest highways in the country.
Despite the danger of speeding traffic, he stepped forward, lifted the flag from the road, and showed it great respect. A video of the moment quickly spread on social media, with people across the UAE praising his bravery and sense of responsibility.
Tahir Amin has been living in Dubai for 18 years. He first came to the UAE as a cleaner and, through hard work, now serves as a manager. Speaking about the incident, he said it was his duty to respect the flag of a country that has given him so many opportunities. He added that as a Pakistani living abroad, he feels a deep sense of gratitude and responsibility toward the UAE.
