Pak Army Ensures Foolproof Security for ICC Champions Trophy 2025

The government has officially approved the deployment of military and Rangers personnel to ensure strict security measures during the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy, which is set to begin on February 19 in Pakistan.

This decision was made by the federal cabinet after receiving requests from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the provincial governments of Punjab and Sindh. Given the scale of the event and the need for heightened security, the authorities have decided to bring in additional forces to maintain law and order.

Under Article 245 of the Constitution, the Pakistan Army will be deployed for security purposes, and the process of stationing troops will begin in the coming days. The Ministry of Interior is expected to issue a formal notification soon, outlining the security arrangements in detail.

A well-structured three-tier security plan will be implemented, ensuring maximum protection for players, officials, and spectators. This plan will involve a coordinated effort between police forces, Rangers, and Army troops to prevent any potential threats or disruptions during the tournament.

The deployment of security personnel aims to provide a safe and secure environment for both local and international teams, as well as cricket fans attending the matches. Authorities are taking every possible measure to ensure the smooth execution of the ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan.
