According to Bangladesh High Commissioner Ruhul Alam Siddique, trade and economic relations could help Pakistan and Bangladesh progress.
The envoy said during a meeting with Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) President Mohammad Nasir Mirza that Bangladesh values its relations with Pakistan and that the two countries have strong historical links.
He said trade opportunities between Pakistan and Bangladesh could be explored in the sectors of construction materials, light engineering, surgical goods, sports goods, food processing, cotton yarn, tourism, and pharmaceutical sectors.
The high commissioner went on to say that the trade balance between the two countries had always been in Pakistan’s favor, with exports from Bangladesh to Pakistan were just $50 million.
