On Thursday, Pakistan and Uzbekistan reaffirmed their commitment to deepening their friendship based on religious, cultural, and historical affinities.
Furthermore, the two countries announced the formation of a strategic partnership for mutual benefit, expressing satisfaction with the continuous improvement in bilateral relations.
Following extensive bilateral meetings, Prime Minister Imran Khan and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the Joint Declaration on the Establishment of Strategic Partnership, with an emphasis on enhanced trade and economic cooperation.
PM Imran emphasised the importance of economic cooperation, saying the two countries shared similar ideals of a new Uzbekistan and a new Pakistan that would elevate their people out of poverty through a welfare state.
He claimed that the visit of the largest ever country’s trade delegation, consisting of over 130 large businesses, demonstrated Pakistan’s commitment to robust trade and economic cooperation.
