Pakistan Bans in-flight meals on Domestic Airlines.

As Covid-19 instances spread across the country, the Civil Aviation Authority issued a directive on Saturday ordering all airlines to halt serving in-flight meals on domestic flights.

The new rule will go into effect on January 17 and will be evaluated in accordance with the National Command and Operation Centre’s orders (NCOC).

The aviation authority stated in a tweet, “Amid growing Omicron cases around the country, the NCOC forbids providing meals/snacks onboard domestic aircraft and public transportation effective January 17.”

The country’s highest monitoring authority also urged the Civil Aviation Authority to ensure that masks are used during flights and that Covid-induced standard operating procedures are implemented at all airports.
