Pakistan emerged victorious in a thrilling match against their rivals, India, in the 5s Asia Hockey Cup held in Salalah, Oman. The match ended with a score of 5-4 in Pakistan’s favor. Arshad Liaquat scored two goals, while Zakaria Hayat, Abdul Rehman, and Rana Abdul Waheed each scored one goal for Pakistan.
Pakistan’s success in the tournament continued as they had previously defeated Bangladesh with a score of 15-6. Arshad Liaquat was recognized as the best player in that match. The team’s captain, Rana Abdul Waheed Ashraf, performed exceptionally by scoring 4 goals. Other contributors to the victory were Muhammad Abdullah, Ehtesham Aslam, Murtaza Yaqub, and Zakaria Hayat.
The event includes eleven teams competing in the five-a-side Asia Cup.
