Pakistan Day Celebrated With Simplicity Across The Country

Pakistan is celebrating Pakistan Day today with a strong commitment to building a true Islamic and welfare state, following the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The day is an important reminder of the country’s purpose and the values on which it was founded.

This year, the celebrations are more simple than usual. Traditional parades and large ceremonies have been reduced due to the ongoing Gulf oil crisis and the need for austerity measures. Despite this, the spirit of the day remains strong across the nation.

Pakistan Day marks the anniversary of the historic Lahore Resolution, which was passed on March 23, 1940. This resolution played a key role in the creation of a separate homeland for Muslims of the Subcontinent, eventually leading to the formation of Pakistan.

Across the country, the day is being observed with basic but meaningful events. Flag-hoisting ceremonies were held in cities and towns, where people gathered to show their respect and love for the country. Government buildings and important places were decorated with national flags.

The day began with a 31-gun salute in the federal capital, Islamabad, while 21-gun salutes were held in the provincial capitals. These ceremonies are a traditional way to honor the significance of the occasion.

Leaders and citizens have used this day to reflect on the country’s journey and the challenges ahead. Overall, Pakistan Day serves as a reminder of unity, sacrifice, and the shared goal of building a better future for the nation.
