The Pakistan Air Force’s Il-76 transport plane arrived at the Nigerian Air Force’s 21st Makurdi Air Base armed with a JF-17 fighter jet.

The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Pakistani government approved the $ 184.3 million deal for the delivery of three JF-17 Thunder fighter jets after Lagos agreed to provide a financial guarantee for the purchase.
The JF-17 Block II jets cost Nigeria around $60 million, including air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles, according to unofficial estimates. The unarmed JF-17 is said to cost US $ 40 million per unit.
