On Monday, as per ARY News, it was confirmed by the Mari Petroleum Company Limited (MPCL) about the recovery of gas and oil reserves from its Bannu West Block.
The post-acid test, which was being conducted at the Lockhart formation for the analysis of the well’s performance parameters as per the stock filing, showed that the well’s gas flows had grown two times, from the first stated flow rate of 25 MMSCFD to 50 MMSCFD.
The recent records of the test have shown that 300 barrels of condensate can be created every day at a flow rate of 5,500 psi with a 40/64 inch choke size.
According to Mari Petroleum Company Limited, the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines are assisting with management.
As per the manager of Mari Petroleum Company Limited, Sui Northern would help in connecting the wells to the national grid.
The combined business partners, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) and Zaver Petroleum Corporation (Pvt) Limited (ZPCL), both have a working interest of 35 percent and 10 percent in the Bannu West Block, which is being managed by MPCL with a working interest of 55 percent. Â
