Pakistan Earns $1.15 Billion from IT Services Export in 5 Months

In the initial five months of the fiscal year 2023-24, Pakistan achieved a significant milestone by generating $1,151.956 million through diverse information technology (IT) services provided to various nations.

This marks a substantial growth of 5.89% compared to the $1,087.929 million earned in the same period of the previous fiscal year. According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), exports in computer services experienced an 8.17% increase, escalating from $864.429 million to $935.016 million from July to November 2023.

Remarkably, software consultancy services exhibited an impressive surge of 46.67%, reaching $2.508 million, while hardware consultancy services rose by 4.15%, reaching $331.231 million. This positive trend highlights Pakistan’s growing prominence in the global IT services market and signifies a substantial contribution to the country’s economic growth.
