During a recent visit to Milan, Italy, Pakistan’s Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, addressed Sikh gatherings at a local Gurdwara. In his speech, he referred to Pakistan as “Pak Sthan”, a sacred and pure land for Sikhs across the world.

He shared how Pakistan, especially the Punjab government, has been working with full respect and dedication to serve Sikh pilgrims.

He proudly mentioned that over 7,000 Sikh pilgrims have been hosted with great care, and their religious activities were supported at every step. This effort reflects the country’s commitment to religious harmony and respect for all faiths.

Minister Arora also highlighted ongoing development projects aimed at preserving Sikh heritage. One of the major initiatives is the restoration of historical Gurdwaras in Pakistan.

He said that the first phase of this project has been successfully completed, with more than Rs 1.5 billion already spent. The work includes improving the condition of sacred sites and making them more accessible for visitors from all over the world.

He thanked the Sikh community in Italy for their warm welcome and expressed his hope for stronger ties between Pakistan and Sikhs globally. He emphasized that Pakistan holds deep spiritual value for Sikhs because of its historical and religious landmarks like Nankana Sahib and Kartarpur.
