Pakistan Makes a Record Earning of $2.62 Billion from IT Services Export in 2021-22

As per the latest reports, $2,615.815 million has been earned by serving several information technology (IT) services in different countries during the fiscal year 2021-22.

Massive increase has been observed during an year against IT Export.

Comparing with fiscal year 2020-21, 24.10% has been earned from $2,107.800 million to $2615m, according to the report by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).

The export of computer services expand by 26.40% raised by $1,666.310 million last year to $2,106.145 million this year.

The exports of software consultancy observed a raise by 43.43% increasing from $554.612 million to $795.480 million. However, the exports of hardware consultancy services raised by 429.58 percent, from $0.551 million to $2.918 million.

However, the export and import of computer software related services increased by 34.87% standing at $563.071 million from $417.485 million. Whereas, repairing and maintenance services grew from $1.446 million from $0.662 million.

Similarly, the exports of other computer services raise by 7.25%, surged from $693 million to $743.230 million. Whereas, the export of IT services surged by 31.08% increasing from $3.990 million to $5.230 million.

Further, the exports of news agency services raised by 49.65% from $2.304 million to $3.448 million. Whereas, 5.69% grew in the exports of other information services standing at $3.448 million from $2.304 million.

If we talk about telecommunication services, it has also observed an increase of 15.30% as it grew from $437.500 million to $504.440 million during the year. However, the call center services increased by 39.43% from $154.554 million to $215.501 million. Further, other telecommunication services surged by 2.12% $282.946 million to $288.939 million during the period.

So, overall the IT Services Export by Pakistan has witnessed enormous increase during the period.
