Pakistan Navy Seizes 1,500KG of Hashish Worth $3 Million in Arabian Sea Operation

Pakistan Navy has carried out another major operation at sea, seizing about 1,500 kilograms of hashish during a patrol in the Arabian Sea.

Officials said the recovered drugs are worth nearly 3 million dollars in the international market. This makes the operation one of the biggest anti-narcotics achievements by the Navy this year.

According to the details shared by the Navy, the action took place when PNS Yamama spotted a suspicious vessel during a routine patrol.

After checking the boat, the team found a large amount of hashish hidden inside. The drugs were immediately taken into custody, and the crew on board was questioned. Officials said the operation shows Pakistan’s strong commitment to keeping sea routes safe and stopping illegal activities.

The Arabian Sea is an important area for global trade and is often targeted by groups trying to move drugs or other banned items. Regular monitoring by the Pakistan Navy helps prevent these networks from using the region for smuggling.

The Navy also said it continues to work with regional and international partners. Cooperation between countries makes it easier to track suspicious vessels and respond quickly. These joint efforts help protect not only Pakistan’s waters but also the wider region.

The seized drugs have been handed over to the authorities for further investigation. More operations are expected as the Pakistan Navy continues its mission to secure sea lanes and stop smuggling attempts.
