More than $10 billion needed by Pakistan in order to rebuild and repair infrastructure damaged by monsoon rains that resulted in devastating flooding, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal stated recently.
Enormous damage have been caused to infrastructure specifically in the areas of telecommunications, roads, agriculture and livelihoods, he stated to AFP.
He stated that it might take 5 years approximately to renovate back, whereas in the near term it would face with food shortage.
Nearly 1 million houses were damaged, so far primary estimated is that big and higher than $10 billion,” Iqbal said.
