Pakistan paid $12.27 billion foreign debt in 2021; Fawad Chaudhry.

Fawad Chaudhry, Minister of Information and Broadcasting, stated on Tuesday that the incumbent administration has paid $12.27 billion in foreign debt this year alone.

Fawad stated on his Twitter account that Pakistan had paid $12.27 billion in foreign debt payments alone in the current fiscal year of 2021-22.

Fawad Chaudhry went on to say that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government will pay $55 billion in debt payments over the next five years, compared to $27 billion paid by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.
