Pakistan Railways Imports Faulty Bogies Worth $149 Million Even after 88 Officers Inspected for 2 Weeks

The imported bogies from China that costs around $149 million are unable to operate on Pakistani tracks, raising questions about the officer’s efficiency and competence who inspected them there.

As per sources, hundreds of thousands of rupeeswere spent just to make the bogies run. Moreover, they also informed that maintenance work was also conducted at the Ski Line of Pakistan Railways.

Whereas, they pointed out since the brakes are not working properly due to improper pressure pipes, the risk of accidents increased.

Keeping in mind of all such problems, the administration started to install of two to two-and-a-half inches of thick pipes in the bogies here while bogies were fitted with 20-inch pipe prior.

Chief Mechanical Engineer Mohammad Haseeb stated that the bogies were being technically fitted. $100/day would be paid to the 88 officers who visited China under TADA.
