Pakistan Railways Lost Rs500 Billion Amid Floods: CEO Railways

Pakistan Railways has suffered infrastructural damages Rs500 billion because of havoc flood in the country.

CEO Farrukh Taimoor said, ‘Looks like our tracks are under the ocean at multiple locations’.

He further informed Railway Committee of the National Assembly about the damages. Further, Railways have suffered damage of Rs500 billion.

He informed that at certain locations his repairing teams met with flood while working. Plus they don’t have sufficient funds to pay salaries.

Moreover, CEO informed that Rs 7 billion has been damaged against the operations of train’s suspension.

However, the Peshawar section of the Pakistan Railways is trying to Import coal from Afghanistan, informed to the committee by Farrukh Hameed.
