Pakistan Secures 30-Day Petroleum Supply Amid Regional Tensions

Pakistan has secured a stable petroleum supply for nearly 30 days, ensuring availability until April 25 despite rising tensions in the Middle East. This development comes as many countries face uncertainty in fuel supply due to ongoing regional conflicts and disruptions in global oil routes.

According to officials, local refineries are operating between 80 percent and full capacity, helping maintain a steady flow of petroleum products across the country. Efficient refinery output, combined with improved stock management, has played a key role in strengthening supply stability.

Pakistan has also increased fuel imports to meet demand. Shipments from Oman have already arrived, while more cargoes are expected in the coming weeks. In addition, authorities have secured alternative crude oil sources from United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia to reduce reliance on any single region.

This diversified approach is important as it lowers the risk of supply disruptions caused by geopolitical tensions. By planning and managing reserves carefully, Pakistan has been able to maintain a stable fuel outlook even as global markets remain uncertain.

Maintaining strong reserves and multiple supply channels can help protect the economy from sudden shocks and ensure that daily life continues without major interruptions.
