Pakistan Sends First Shipment of Dried Chillies to China

The Minister of Commerce and Industries, Gohar Ejaz, announced a significant achievement in Pakistan’s agricultural exports to China with the first shipment of dried chillies. This marks the start of a new phase in the trade relationship between the two countries. Minister Ejaz conveyed best wishes to the exporter and thanked the Chinese government for their consistent support in establishing a significant market for Pakistani goods in China.

He revealed that the initial batch of dried chillies is en route to China, highlighting the potential for more collaboration between Pakistani and Chinese businesses. Ejaz encouraged exporters to maintain high-quality standards, boost productivity, and implement effective marketing strategies to meet the expectations of the Chinese market.

Pointing out the possibility of Pakistan’s exports to China exceeding $20 billion in the coming years, Ejaz emphasized the competitive advantage provided by the Pakistan-China Free Trade Agreement. He urged the adoption of new agricultural technologies to foster growth in the Chinese market.
