Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, has strongly denied reports from Indian media alleging that he went on a shopping spree while in India for the 2023 World Cup.
These reports suggested that he purchased jewelry, clothes, including a designer sherwani worth 700,000 Indian rupees. An agency representing him has vehemently rejected these false claims, stating that Babar was surprised by the news.
The agency has urged media outlets to engage in diligent fact-checking before spreading misinformation, disinformation, or propaganda.
