Just a few days before the ICC Men’s World Cup 2023 begins in India, it seems that the Pakistani cricket team is likely to get their travel visas for India. Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had told the International Cricket Council (ICC) that the team hadn’t received their visas yet. In response, the ICC asked the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to speed up the visa process.
Sources suggest that the Indian embassy in Pakistan is about to receive permission from the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs, and once they have it, they will issue the visas. It’s worth noting that Pakistan is the only team out of the nine participating countries that hasn’t received their visas yet.
The Pakistani team plans to go from Dubai to Hyderabad, India, where they’ll play a practice match against New Zealand on September 29. It’s important to mention that the last Test match between Pakistan and India took place in 2007.
