Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan, while speaking at the inaugural session of the International Chambers Summit 2022 in Islamabad, recently said that Pakistan is going to be the fastest growing country in Asia after three months.
Despite Pakistan’s economic turmoil, Imran Khan believes that the country is in a better economic condition than India. According to Khan, Pakistan has a better economic condition than many other countries in the region, especially India.
“In comparison to many other countries, Pakistan remains one of the cheapest. They (the opposition) accuse us of being incompetent, but the truth is that our government has saved the country from numerous crises,” the Premier added.
According to the report, Khan also stated that among others, Pakistani oil prices are lower than those in other countries.
Imran Khan’s claims come as the government prepares to introduce a finance law in Parliament in response to the International Monetary Fund’s demands (IMF). If passed, the bill will smooth the way for a USD 1 billion tranche of funding to Pakistan.
