Pakistan to Establish Mini-Truck Assembly Line in Karachi with Chinese Collaboration

The Sindh government is joining hands with Chinese companies Chery Holding and Pedi Technology to start a mini-truck assembly line in Karachi. This important project was announced during a ceremony held in Bozhou, China, and is seen as a big step forward in the growing industrial partnership between Pakistan and China.

Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon shared that the new assembly plant will help boost local vehicle production, provide job opportunities, and improve transport systems in both cities and villages. He added that this move will strengthen the province’s economy and reduce its dependence on imported vehicles.

The mini truck being introduced is special because it can also be changed into a mini car, making it a flexible and useful option for many people. It’s also affordable and environmentally friendly, which makes it a good choice for small businesses and daily transportation.

To support this green transport plan, the Sindh government also plans to set up electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in different areas of the province. This will encourage the use of electric vehicles and help reduce pollution. The project shows Sindh’s commitment to modern, clean, and smart mobility solutions.
