Pakistan to Host First Ever T20I Tri-Series with Afghanistan & Sri Lanka in November

Pakistan is set to host its very first T20 International tri-series from November 17 to 29, 2025. The tournament will feature three teams – Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka. Matches will be played in the cities of Rawalpindi and Lahore, with the grand final scheduled to take place at the historic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

This series will be especially significant because it will mark the first time Afghanistan’s cricket team plays a T20 International match on Pakistani soil. For all three teams, the competition will also serve as an important opportunity to prepare and fine-tune their game plans ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), this tri-series is not only expected to bring thrilling cricket for fans but will also demonstrate Pakistan’s ability to host major international sporting events. Earlier this year, Pakistan successfully organized the ICC Champions Trophy as well as the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifier, which strengthened the country’s reputation as a reliable venue for world-class cricket tournaments.
