Pakistan to Release Rs. 100 Commemorative Coin on 10th of Anniversary CPEC

To mark the 10th anniversary of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the Government of Pakistan will release a special coin worth Rs. 100. This corridor, which started in 2013, has greatly helped Pakistan’s development and economy in the past ten years.

Starting from August 11, 2023, this coin can be obtained from SBP Banking Services Corporation exchange counters. The circular coin has a unique design with jagged edges, a diameter of 30.00 mm, and weighs 13.5 grams. It’s made of Cupro-Nickel metal, which is 75% copper and 25% nickel.

On the front of the coin, there’s a well-crafted five-pointed star in the center. Inside this star, you’ll see a crescent moon and a star, which represent Pakistan’s national flag. On the sides, there’s a group of five stars that symbolize China’s national flag.

Around the star, there are words in English that say “CELEBRATING 10 YEARS OF CPEC” and in Urdu, “ISLAMI JAMHURIA PAKISTAN.” These are separated by stars on both sides. The coin’s value, “100,” is prominently displayed, along with the word “Rupiya” in Urdu.
