Pakistan, Turkey agree to enhance bilateral ties, trade.

President Arif Alvi and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met in Ashgabat during President Arif Alvi’s visit to Turkmenistan and agreed to boost bilateral trade and economic relations.

The two presidents agreed that the Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) should be strengthened in order to achieve its goals, and they emphasised the need of regional cooperation, particularly among Islamic nations, in combating Islamophobia.

President Alvi stated that the region’s difficulties must be addressed collaboratively. He complimented President Erdogan for Turkey’s solid stance on the Kashmir problem.

President Alvi had previously visited with President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan, with whom he expressed views on bilateral relations, trade, and economic cooperation.
