Pakistan and Turkiye have again joined hands to call for urgent help for the people of Gaza and an immediate ceasefire to stop the suffering. In a phone conversation, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan discussed the worsening situation in Gaza and agreed that the world must act quickly for peace.
Both leaders strongly condemned Israel’s ongoing actions, which they said are causing hunger, displacement, and the deaths of innocent people. They said that people in Gaza need immediate humanitarian aid without any barriers, so food, medicine, and other help can reach those in need.
Deputy PM Dar and FM Fidan said that Pakistan and Turkiye will keep supporting Palestine’s right to freedom and peace. They both agreed that a two-state solution is the only way to bring lasting peace to the region.
Dar also repeated Pakistan’s clear stance that Palestine should be a free, independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif (Jerusalem) as its capital. He said this should be based on the borders that existed before 1967.
Their discussion comes ahead of a peace conference led by the United Nations, where countries will talk about how to end the conflict and help the people affected by it.
Both Pakistan and Turkiye said they stand firmly with the Palestinian people and will keep working together to raise their voice on the international stage. They urged other countries to join hands for peace, protect innocent lives, and help end the crisis in Gaza as soon as possible.
