Pakistan use of UAE technology for artificial rain to deal with smog

Pakistan is considering deploying the cloud-seeding technology developed by the United Arab Emirates to combat smog next year, according to Prime Minister’s Climate Change Advisor Malik Amin Aslam.

Aslam told a private television programme that the government has made numerous efforts to address the issue, but that they are “still insufficient.”

Residents of Lahore recently petitioned the authorities to take immediate action after their city was named one of the world’s most polluted, with residents enveloped by haze.
