According to a top government official, Pakistan expects to increase orange shipments to China this year. Abdul Razak Dawood, the Prime Minister’s Adviser on Commerce and Investment, pointed out that the mango season had already brought in a lot of money.
Pakistan exported a record 460,000 tonnes of oranges in 2020-21, the greatest volume ever recorded during any season.
Around 460,000 tonnes of oranges were exported from the country globally during the export season that ended in April 2021, up 30% from the previous season.
