Pakistan achieved a big success by becoming the Vice Chair of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) Executive Board for 2023-2025. This happened through an election in Paris during the 218th Session of the Unesco Executive Board.
The Foreign Office thanked member countries for their strong support, highlighting Pakistan’s commitment to its duties with honesty and mutual respect.
Moreover, Pakistan was also re-elected to the Executive Board of Unesco for four more years, from 2023 to 2027, getting the most votes in the group. This shows that other countries trust and appreciate Pakistan’s role in important international matters.
