The Pakistan women’s cricket team clinched a 2-1 victory in the three-match T20 series against New Zealand at John Davies Oval. Pakistan won the first two matches and became the first Asian team to win a T20 series in New Zealand.
Despite losing the third match by six runs (DLS method), Pakistan’s strong performances in the first two matches secured the series win.
Notable performers included Sidra Ameen and Suzie Bates, with Bates receiving the Player of the Match award and Fatima Sana winning the Player of the Series award. The teams will now proceed to the ODI series of the ICC Women’s Championship starting on December 12 in Queenstown.
